Sharaku lived in Edo (Tokyo) in the late 18th and early 19th Centuries. He painted actors and scenes from Noh Theatre. Interesting little volume with 22 pages of text, 7 pages describing the plates, a 3 page glossary, a 1 page bibliography, 18 color plates and 12 black and white plates.
